The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Washington State University is one of the nation’s preeminent programs in both graduate and undergraduate civil and environmental engineering education. Our programs provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of engineering and science combined with technical expertise in specialized areas of the field.

Degree Programs

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers the following degree programs:

“Civil and environmental engineers are the nation’s doers and are responsible for improving living standards and serving communities in which we live. They grapple with many of the nation’s challenges such as overcrowded roads and highways, functionally obsolete bridges that are unable to carry today’s heavier loads, crowded urban areas and communities, contaminated groundwater aquifers, and air pollution. We seek ways to solve these problems better, faster and cheaper. With these challenges come the rewards and pride in making contributions to society and to our country.”
